make your own e-cryptex!
so john is all obsessed with cryptexes now (or is it crypteces?). i made him a little one for easter, but apparently that has not satisfied his lust for da vinci-inspired code breaking receptacles. there is a
website where you can buy handmade cryptexes, but they cost 600+ dollars. i don't get it. i mean they are kind of pretty maybe but do you think anybody has ACTUALLY ever paid this dude 600 bucks for what really amounts to a metal combination lock tube in a cherry wood box? john, i wouldn't hold your breath come christmas time. . .
but it doesn't even matter anymore, because john's cryptex lust has finally been satisfied by this amazing site. if you go to
webcryptex.com, you can create your own electronic crytex and send it to a friend. effing sweet! so now we don't have to worry about google or the cia interrupting our email correspondence. i am going to encode all my internet messages in crytex form so that noone can read them except those for whom they are intended.
Click here for a message i have hidden inside a cryptex for anyone savvy enough to break the code.
